Este projeto é parte integrante da minha tese de mestrado que teve como objetivo a criação de uma banda desenhada autobiográfica, intitulada *Húmus Homine*- Uma obra que busca compreender e refletir a identidade individual de forma subjetiva e pessoal. O projeto foi concebido como uma ferramenta de autoconhecimento, com a intenção de tornar o processo artístico e subjetivo num objeto partilhável. *Humus Homine* não é apenas um artefacto autobiográfico, mas é também um testemunho útil e transmissível, com potencial para contribuir para a compreensão de questões universais relacionadas à identidade. A obra revela a profundidade e o impacto das questões pessoais por meio de um processo de pesquisa e prática artística que se encontram indissociavelmente interligados.
Apresentada numa abordagem fragmentada, a narrativa organiza-se de forma não linear, destacando diferentes aspectos do quotidiano e o impacto emocional dessas experiências na vida do seu sujeito. A obra aborda temas como sexualidade, violência, religião e dinâmicas familiares, utilizando a autobiografia como estrutura narrativa. Esta explora a cultura rural, religiosa e conservadora da terra natal do autor, contrastando-a com a cultura liberal adquirida ao longo da sua formação como adulto e estudante de artes. Por meio de uma série de episódios que abrangem desde a infância do autor até a atualidade, a obra revela as diversas influências culturais e experiências pessoais que moldaram a sua identidade.

This project is an integral part of my master’s thesis, aimed to create an autobiographical comic titled “Húmus Homine”—a work that seeks to understand and reflect on individual identity in a subjective and personal way. The project was conceived as a tool for self-discovery, with the intention of transforming the artistic and subjective process into a shareable object. “Húmus Homine” is not only an autobiographical artifact but also a useful and transmittable testimony, with the potential to contribute to the understanding of universal questions related to identity. The work reveals the depth and impact of personal issues through a process of research and artistic practice that are inextricably linked.
Presented in a fragmented approach, the narrative is organized in a non-linearly way, highlighting different aspects of daily life and the emotional impact of these experiences on the subject’s life. The work addresses themes such as sexuality, violence, religion, and family dynamics, using autobiography as its narrative structure. It explores the rural, religious, and conservative culture of the author’s homeland, contrasting it with the liberal culture encountered through the author’s growth as an adult and art student. Through a series of episodes spanning from the author’s childhood to the present day, the work reveals the diverse cultural influences and personal experiences that have shaped his identity.
