"No Mínimo, um Lugar Cheio de Gente" é o título de um exercício realizado no MIA (Mestrado em Ilustração e Animação, ESD-IPCA) na unidade curricular de Métodos e Técnicas de Representação. Trata-se de um exercício de representação de multidões, onde se pensam contextos narrativos, disposições espaciais, composição visual, técnicas, etc. Os limites impostos pelo exercício levam a imagens que representam enxames de gente a fazer coisas, um pouco na senda de Brueghel, Hogarth, Richard Outcault, Martin Handford ou Benjamin Chaud.
Dentro destes limites, a resposta dada foi transformada em uma exposição na Livraria Papa-Livros (Rua de Miguel Bombarda 523, Porto). A exposição foi relativamente modesta, mas aqui o trabalho desperta em nós o voyeur escrutinador levando tempo a ver e provocando uma experiência de observação lenta e reflexiva, como se cada detalhe merecesse ser explorado.

"No Mínimo, um Lugar Cheio de Gente" is the title of an exercise conducted in the MIA (Master's in Illustration and Animation, ESD-IPCA) within the Representation Methods and Techniques course. This exercise focuses on the representation of crowds, where narrative contexts, spatial arrangements, visual composition, techniques, and other elements are explored. The constraints of the exercise lead to images that depict swarms of people engaged in various activities, somewhat in the vein of Brueghel, Hogarth, Richard Outcault, Martin Handford, or Benjamin Chaud.
Within these constraints, the resulting work was transformed into an exhibition at Papa-Livros Bookstore (523 Miguel Bombarda Street, Porto). The exhibition was relatively modest, but here the artwork invites us to take on a voyeuristic, scrutinizing role, encouraging a slow, reflective viewing experience, as if every detail deserves careful exploration.
